"[I am writing this letter as] I wish to include more detail about our Birchcrest service than the space on your form would permit and I will do so one person at a time.
Our landscape consultant”s initial design was so well planned and clearly explained that we went with it, making only modest alterations to his original version to keep the cost within our budget limitations. We found him to be very flexible in accepting the small changes we requested (pavers instead of slate for the walk; gravel instead of mulch around/behind the AC unit). He was very helpful in the process of plant and shrub selection, and he made site visits during installation and checked the final product after it was completed.
The Birchcrest installation crew consisted of two men who worked tirelessly during extreme heat the week that the design was being executed. The gentleman who installed the new paver walk and served as crew chief, had worked for us nine years previously when another company did our initial landscaping in 2000. He recalled installing our paver walk in the front of our home, and now he was being asked to level it after some settling had occurred during the interim. We had received many compliments on that front walk over the years, and could not have been more delighted to have his expertise a second time for our new project behind the house. He is a true craftsman and artisan when it comes to paver installation.
The other technician was a most dedicated and hard worker. He took great pains to prune and shape two Japanese Maples along the tree line in front of our woods so that they would have nice shapes as well as more access to available sunlight. He re-leveled a slate walk around our gazebo and did a superior job. He also installed new basement window wells without disturbing the crushed brick lining at the bottom of each.
Suffice it to say that we were very pleased with the entire process from start to finish, and we will sing the praises of Birchcrest Tree & Landscape to anyone who will stand still to listen."
